Justin Bieber finally released new music (it’s about time, we are firm Beliebers here) and his first release for something he’s calling 'Music Mondays' is a song he’s been teasing for weeks called “Heartbreaker.”
Bieber released the song with a little introduction about how it’s autobiographical like aTaylor Swift song.
Bieber wrote, “It's a song for people going through heartbreak—like I was when I wrote it. It means so much to me to be able to share what I was, and still am, going through, with my fans. I'm very proud of this song and I hope it gives my fans some insight into my heart. These songs are different. These are my #journals.”
Anyways, the song is obviously about Selena because who else did he just break up with? And the lyrics are pretty eye-opening.
He croons on the sad track, “Despite all the imperfections of who I am, I still wanna be your man. I know it hasn’t been easy for us to talk with everyone being around…and I want you to know that I still love you.”
Whoa.
Also, “I know that I don’t wanna lose your love oh baby, oh baby.”
If Bieber hadn’t prefaced this with, “I wrote this when I was going through heartbreak,” we would have just assumed this was some song written by someone else that Usher passed on before it was handed to Bieber.
